High-voltage line unit (HVL unit) is meant for sectioning and cross feeding of high-voltage lines at 6 and 10 kV with double-way supply of the first category consumers.
High-voltage line unit is equipped with BB/TEL vacuum switch, satisfying modern requirements of ecology. No service is required (in comparison with oil one). Switches are simple in operation. It doesn't require operative power supply for control circuits, protection and automatic equipment. HVL unit is highly wear-resistant at connection of rated currents and short-circuit currents - no less than 100000 disconnections/connections. It features explosion- and fire-safety, fast dielectric recovery, fast response, applicable in autoreclosing single cycles. You can easily replace vacuum explosion chambers (the life time is 25 years without overhaul repair).
The following types of protection are provided in the HVL design:
maximum current protection with cut-off;
time delay protection;
single repeated connection;
earth connection protection;
minimum stress protection.
HVL unit is equipped with lighting and heating devices to provide its normal operation at low air temperatures.
HVL unit is meant for operation at -45°C up to +40°C, altitudes no more than 1000 m above sea level. Wind load is up to 36 m/c, ice-loading is 20 mm.
Electric and mechanical locks prevent from personnel erroneous actions.
